Who’s greedier than the banks? We couldn’t pass up the chance to work with Chris from Banks, the undisputed champion of Oat Cream IPA in Australia!

We opted for Talus T90 plus Talus Cryo and Cashmere hops – uncommon choices in this beer style – to give the public a taste of their full potential.

What sets this brew apart? Wheat DME, a dried malt extract, allows us to infuse more complex sugars into the beer when our mash tun reaches its limit. Talus hops, a relatively new variety from North America, come from Humulus neomexicanus, unlike the more common Humulus lupulus.

Pour: Burnished gold with a white head
Smell: Layers of citrus (grapefruit, lemon, lime and orange peel) with notes of lemongrass, pine resin and spice woven throughout.
Taste: Hops are front and centre with citrus dominating.  Mouthfeel is full and fluffy with layers of sweetness from the oat and lactose additions.
Finish: Full.
