Some collabs just hit different. Indi-Rock is one of those. Brewed with our long-term mates at Indian Ocean Brewing Co., who are celebrating a huge 20 years of good times and great beer, this collab is all about raising a glass to the past while charging full-tilt into the future.

The brewers decided to get a little wild with a dry-hopped hazy Grisette – a style born from tradition but twisted in all the right ways. We’re talking a malt base of regen-grown Pilsner, Wheat, and Munich – sustainable, flavourful, and built properly from the ground up. Then we layered in a Kiwi-meets-US hop blend (NZ Cascade, Amplifire, Riwaka, Amarillo Cryo, NZH-109) for a party of melon, tropical fruits, citrus, and that unmistakable hint of diesel from NZ hops.

But here’s where things get really fun – we’re fermenting this beauty with BR-8 Brettanomyces yeast. That means expect a light funk, dry snap, and heaps of playful esters and phenolics bouncing off the hop character. It’s hazy, it’s juicy, but with a crisp funky finish that keeps pulling you back for another sip.

Indi-Rock is a beer that blends old-school farmhouse vibes with new-school hop firepower. It’s a tribute to tradition, innovation, and two breweries that love pushing the boundaries together.

• Malts: Sustainable Regen Grown Pilsner Malt, Wheat Malt, Munich Malt.
• Hops: NZ Cascade, Amplifire Riwaka, Amarillo Cryo, NZH-109.
• Allergens: Clarex added for gluten reduction.
  
• Fun Fact: Grisette was originally brewed in Belgium as a refreshing, low-strength beer for miners to drink after long shifts underground — basically the OG “knock-off beer” of the 19th century.
