The original recipe used Flinders hops, grown right here by Hamish as a labor of love, and it’s been the heart of Ace since day one. Fast forward 8 years, and while Ace has evolved, it’s still got that same soul.

So, we thought: What if we bring the old and the new together? Chris at South West Hops had a killer Flinders harvest, and we had a fresh batch of Ace ready. We HAD to try it.

Wet Hop Ace is our usual Ace recipe, but with an extra 25g/L of wet Flinders hops, recirculated for 24 hours. The result? Same great Ace, but with lifted bitterness and fresh melon, pine, and grass aromas that add a whole new layer.

We feel this has been the best expression of wet hop we have managed to brew in our 8 years and expect to see more like it next year!

Ingredients

Malts: RR Base Malt (Kulin, WA), Mallokup Munich Malt (Capel, WA), Mallokup Chit malt (Capel, WA)

Hops: Ekuanot T90 (USA), Aus Cascade T90 (Aus), Eclipse T90 (Aus), Ella T90 (Aus), Citra T90 (USA), Flinders Wet hops (Bridgetown, WA)

Adjuncts: Dextrose

Allergens: Clarex added for Gluten reduction
