Well, here we go again! Just a few months after opening our doors in Duncraig, we’re back with news that’s got us both excited and, honestly, a little terrified in the best possible way.
We’re opening Rocky Ridge Burswood.
How We Got Here (It’s Not What You’d Expect)
Sometimes the best opportunities come from places you’d never expect. When Fox Friday sadly closed its doors, it hit all of us in the craft beer community hard. Watching any brewery have to call last drinks is never easy – we’re all in this together, after all.
But then something beautiful happened. Our mates at Mountain Culture stepped in to help with Fox Friday’s assets, and during a casual chat about some exciting collaborations (if you missed out, there will be more, we promise!), DJ mentioned the Burswood venue might be available.
It felt right. It felt like home.
We want to be crystal clear – we don’t take lightly that this opportunity comes from another brewery’s challenges. Our hope is to bring something positive to the community: a space filled with that signature Jindong energy and genuine Rocky Ridge spirit.
Why Burswood? Why Now?
Since opening Duncraig, the most common question we’ve been asked is: “When are you coming south of the river?”
Well, the wait is over.
We’ve been overwhelmed (in the best way) by the love and support at Rocky Ridge Duncraig. But we get it – not everyone can make the trek north for their Rocky Ridge fix. We want to bring our beers, our vibe, and our community spirit closer to more of you.
This isn’t just about expansion for expansion’s sake. This is about building genuine connections in neighborhoods across Perth, just like we’ve done in the Southwest for eight years.
What to Expect
Everything you know and love about Rocky Ridge, but with room to spread out:
The Beers: We’re expanding beyond the current 20 taps to match our signature 40-tap lineup over time. Fresh releases, seasonal specials, limited editions – if we’re brewing it, you’ll find it here.
The Food: We take our food as seriously as our beer, and we’ve got Head Chef Jeramiah Schoemaker working feverishly behind the scenes to prove it. Think share plates and family-style meals designed for good company and built to pair perfectly with our fresh AF beers.
Expect creativity too – you’ll find our beer popping up in some pretty unexpected places on the menu (keep your eyes peeled for the easter eggs). Just like our brewing, we’ve sourced ingredients and suppliers with the same commitment to sustainability and local legends that you know us for.
The Space: If Duncraig has a cozy neighbourhood vibe, Burswood is where we can really spread our wings. With 500 capacity (double Duncraig = double the fun!), there’s room for bigger groups, functions, events, and that dedicated kids’ area we’ve been promising.
The Values: Same commitment to sustainability, community, and making f*&^ing good beer without compromise. This venue actually helps us centralize our Perth distribution, reducing our carbon footprint as we work toward Net Zero.
The Vibe: Think of it as Duncraig’s bigger sibling – same down-to-earth attitude, same feeling like you’re at your mates house, just with more room to breathe. And yes. We’ve Kept the Shuffleboard tables, so dust off your uniforms and get ready for some of the slickest tournaments you’ve ever seen.
A Word on Community
Look, opening two Perth venues in a few months is either ambitious or completely bat-shit crazy – we’re still figuring out which one. But here’s the thing: we don’t do anything without our community’s support.
You made Duncraig what it is. You showed up, you brought your friends, you became part of the Rocky Ridge family. Now we’re asking you to help us do it again in Burswood.
We’re not just opening another venue – we’re planting roots in another neighborhood. That means Rocky Run Club south of the river. That means community clean-ups. That means being there for local causes and finding ways to give back.

We need you. We need your patience as we find our feet (again). We need your feedback, your suggestions, your presence. Most importantly, we need you to help us build something special in Burswood.
This journey from a dairy farm in Jindong to venues across Perth doesn’t happen without people who believe in what we’re doing. You’ve supported us through eight years of brewing, 500+ unique beers, and now four venues.
