🍺 MASHER (2026) | 5.8% | WEST COAST IPA | Cape Cellars x Big Brews Collaboration
The Masher is back, and it’s brought the good vibes with it.
Every year we get together with the local legends at Cape Cellars and the crew at Big Brews to make one beer with zero agenda beyond having a great day and putting something bloody good on the shelf. That’s the entire brief. It works every time.
This year’s Masher is a West Coast IPA with a twist in the grist. Our Certified Sustainable local Pilsner malt is backed by a proper hit of Weyermann Rye and Nomans Munich from LOAM Malt Studio, the Wheatbelt maltsters at Nomans Lake who took gold at the 2026 Malt Cup with their first ever entry. Together they give the beer a spicy, peppery backbone and a deep copper glow. Then the hops go to work: Rakau, Strata, Cryopop and Motueka, plus a dose of Blue Dream BrewGas terpenes that adds a layer of dank complexity we’re not going to explain any further.
Pine, grapefruit, orange peel and a flicker of blueberry ride over that spicy malt, before a firm, dry West Coast bitterness cleans everything up and asks for another. Good beer, good people, good times. That’s the Masher.
