We’re unveiling our most anticipated release of the year! From tangy Watermelon Sours to bold Double IPAs, this lineup has something for everyone.

But this isn’t just any release – it’s inspired by none other than Captain Planet himself… or should we say Captain Jindong? Each beer celebrates our journey to becoming Australia’s first Certified Sustainable and Carbon Neutral brewery, and our mission to reach Net Zero by 2025.

Captain Jindong | Double IPA (8.5%)

Sustainability, a word that is so overused. For us here at Rocky Ridge, it is simply an all encompassing commitment to doing the right thing. Thanks to our team of Planeteers and their powers combined, Rocky Ridge Brewing has proudly become Australia’s first Certified Sustainable and Carbon Neutral Brewery. But we’re here to talk about something even more exciting – our beer.

This beauty pours a hazy orange with a crisp white head. The smell? Herbal Riwaka, passionfruit, and a touch of bubblegum. On the palate, it’s all about passionfruit, malt sweetness, and a bold, pina colada-like bitterness that finishes with a tropical hop linger.

Earth | New World Pilsner (5.5%)

With the help of our friends at Tolga Farms, Joe White Malting and Bintani, we’ve taken on the huge task of bringing Certified Sustainable, single-origin, regeneratively grown barley to each and every Rocky Ridge brew. Barley that boasts a 73% lower carbon footprint compared to traditional malt, and can be traced from paddock to pint. This milestone has been years in the making, and represents a giant leap forward, removing 70,000kgs in annual malt CO2-emissions

Now, let’s talk about the beer. It pours a clear, burnished gold with a white head, offering aromas of nectarine and pineapple layered over bready cracker malts. On the palate, bready cracker malts lead, with waves of nectarine and pineapple from a blend of Aussie and Kiwi hops, before finishing with a crisp, lingering bitterness.

Wind | Hazy IPA (6.0%)

We have pushed hard to reduce our CO2 emissions over the last 7 years. We have up to 60% less CO2 per litre of beer than the global industry average, and our goal is to hit zero direct CO2 emissions by 2025. Will we hit it? Maybe! With your help and the help of our CO2 reclaim unit. This innovative system enables us to capture approximately 80% of the CO2 generated during fermentation, which we then reuse in the packaging process to add those glorious bubbles to your beer.

Speaking of, this brew pours a hazy pale gold with a fluffy white head, releasing tropical aromas of passionfruit and pineapple, layered with berry and dank pine resin. On the palate, tropical fruits dominate the front, followed by resinous pine and light malt sweetness. A lightly bitter finish lingers, with a hint of berries and herbal notes.

Water | Watermelon Sour (4.2%)

Traditionally, it takes a whopping 6-12 litres of water to make 1 litre of golden nectar! At Rocky Ridge Brewing Co, we’ve reduced this to around 3 litres, smashing to industry standard. We achieved this with initiatives like utilising ozonated air to pre-rinse cans during packaging (instead of water), and investing heavily in the brewery’s ability to filter and reuse our own water. 

And this is why we do it. This Watermelon Sour pours a pale pinkish-purple, and the aroma offers a blend of candied watermelon with subtle blueberry undercurrents. On the palate, salty blueberry and watermelon greet the taste buds upfront, transitioning into a burst of candied watermelon that lingers through the finish. The overall experience balances sweet, salty, and sour notes, creating a refreshing and flavourful profile.

Fire | West Coast IPA (7.2%)

IF ONLY THERE WAS SOME KIND OF INFINITE POWER SOURCE WE COULD USE EVERY DAY RIGHT? WELL..Thanks to a handy little fusion reactor in the sky, our Jindong brewery has proudly become one of the few 100% off-grid breweries in Australia, and globally. We are a true off-grid brewery, devoid of any mains electrical connection, reducing fossil fuel reliance and CO2 emissions. Our state of the art solar array generates 280kWh. That’s enough power to run 87 average Aussie homes for a full year.

This West Coast IPA pours a clear golden body, bursting with melon, citrus, and a touch of white pepper and pine resin. On the palate, you’ll get citrus and pine upfront, followed by waves of dankness and white pepper. The bitterness builds and leaves a resinous finish that sticks with you.

Heart | Modern Pale Ale (5.0%)


DRINKING OUR BEER ISN’T JUST ABOUT ENJOYING A BEVERAGE. It’s about backing local communities, building meaningful relationships and supporting our team…our extended family…you. Thanks to so many big hearts, our small, independent, family-owned business has evolved from the humble beginnings of a farm in Jindong to become a thriving, community-focused brewery.

This modern pale ale pours a beautiful burnished gold with a light amber hue and a subtle hop haze. Aromas of pine, citrus, and spice mix with hints of Kiwi diesel and melon. On the palate, pine, citrus, and spice lead, with a touch of malt sweetness in the middle. A cleansing bitterness finishes things off with a light, refreshing linger.
