When we started the brewery we embraced an open door policy when it came to collaborations. As Rocky Ridge began its life as a ground to glass operation it was our way of incorporating ingredients that we didn’t grow on the farm. We realised pretty quickly it was a heap of fun and that we learn a lot from collaborating with different breweries, venues and even different industries outside of beer.
The knowledge we gain from working with other people is definitely a massive factor as to why we love collaborations and we generally get to share some pretty tasty beers at the end of the day.
For the last 5 years we have always tried to have fun around our birthday. This year the natural evolution was to release 5 big beers with 5 epic breweries. Unfortunately Covid and closed borders meant all these collabs have been coordinated by email and video calls but the spirit of collaboration was still alive with many long winded email chains, virtual beers and a bunch of banter.
We have created 5 unique beers that are all equally delicious in their own right. The beers range from dark and oaky, heavy on the fruit, clean and crisp to heavy on the hops and haze.
We can’t wait to see what everyone thinks of the beers. We are incredibly stoked with how they are tasting and the cans look equally awesome.
