NATURALIS HISTORIA | 8.5% | West Coast IIPA | Good Land Brewing (Gippsland, VIC) Collaboration

Third in a series of four killer interstate collaborations we’ve created with great Aussie brewing mates for IPA DAY ’26. Naturalis Historia meaning: “Respect your Elders.” Every family’s got a history buff, and this beer definitely brings the first born energy. Our fellow beer nerds at Good Land suggested we brew a beer as a nod to the OGs who built the West Coast IPA temple we all still worship at. That great decision birthed not just this incredible beer, but the theme for this year’s IPA Day series.

The talented human encyclopaedias of beer from both our breweries got together and came away with the plan for a lean, mean beer built with purpose. Celebrating the original blueprint while proving that timeless doesn’t mean outdated.

A stripped-back malt base lets a proper old-school West Coast hop bill do all the talking. Pale gold body, crisp white head, and an all-American cast of Simcoe, Amarillo, Amarillo Cryo, Cryo Simcoe, Mosaic Cryo, Simcoe HyperBoost and Mosaic HyperBoost.

The aroma invites you in before the bitterness arrives with purpose, cutting cleanly through layers of tropical fruit and citrus. It’s assertive without being abrasive, finishing dry, crisp and lingering long enough to remind many of us exactly why we all fell in love with this style in the first place. Sometimes the old ways are still the best ways.
