Finish: Lingering bitterness, dank resin and a ridiculously hop-saturated finish.

Sometimes we surprise ourselves.

Rock Juice V16 is the best Juice we can remember making, and it’d want to be: 80.45 grams of hops per litre. Not a typo. Roughly a billion times* hoppier than any Juice before it. Beyond excessive, and we stand by every gram.

Here’s the ridiculous part. A hop bill that greedy should have drunk half the tank on its way out. Instead, where we’d budgeted a paltry 4,000 litres, we pulled 5,000. A full thousand litres of Juice we had no right to.

The 10% original wasn’t going anywhere. But the surplus? Ours to ruin. So we did the thing consultants charge six figures to recommend: we pivoted. A healthy dose of Sinamar (all-natural black malt extract from de-bittered Carafa Special: all of the midnight, none of the roast bite) and a slight reduction to a thoroughly sessionable 7.4%.

The result: Pivot. Probably Ill-advised. Very Overhopped. Tasty. And because the consultants taught us that everything must be an acronym, the style is an EDHBEXYHIIPA (Excessive Dry Hop Black Extra Yield Hazy Imperial India Pale Ale). The daftest, most ingenious thing we’ve ever packaged.
