We woke up at our keyboard recently to find a message from our friends at Coffee Heads suggesting we followed the white rabbit… The result? A reality-bending beer that looks one way and tastes entirely another.

Appropriately, this beer’s journey starts with a stacked deck of premium malts tumbling down into our mash tun including our low input WA grown Pilsner malt, Golden Promise pale malt, plus specialty rolled and malted oats and drum-roasted caramel malt. All piling up and providing depth and a super solid backbone that’s up to supporting a BIG dose of lactose and adjuncts to come.​

​After completing fermentation we transferred this beautifully bright beer through our centrifuge before inviting the bean and beer nerds to get properly Mad Hatter with it. Together we set the finished beer up to recirculate through a vessel packed with MRRC coffee beans, cacao husks and vanilla. This allowed us to pull way more out, delivering a beer that’s punchier than its ABV implies – silky, indulgent and absolutely more than it appears.
